How do little kids get nerve irritation?
Nerve irritations (or vertebral subluxations) occur as a part of normal daily life. They may result from physical, chemical and emotional stressors or ‘insults’ to our health, such as bad posture, prolonged postures, sleeping on our stomachs, knocks and falls, poor food choices, dehydration, exposure to chemicals and toxins, and stress and anxiety. Some research suggests that even before these lifestyle stressors have an impact, nerve irritation may occur in the uterus from awkward positioning, restriction of movement, and exposure to toxins. Subluxations or nerve irritation may also occur from birth complications such as long labors, very fast labors, or forceps or caesarean delivery.

Sports Injury
How Can a Chiropractor Help After Sports Injury?
If you’re an athlete, you understand the numerous demands of participating in a sport such as running, jumping and tackling. Putting your body through these activities can result in painful tears, sprains, and strains. But seeing a chiropractor can help you when you’ve suffered sports injuries and help to prevent them. The main reasons athletes suffer sports injuries include forceful impacts, repetitive motions, over-training and failure to warm up properly. Chiropractors can help athletes by relieving their pain and helping them heal faster after an injury. Regular visits will promote quicker recovery after games and training as well as better balance and overall performance.
Auto accidents
If you’ve been injured in an auto accident, we can help. Whiplash most commonly occurs when an automobile is struck from behind, or the car comes to a sudden stop. This causes the head to snap back and then forth, and this in turn causes the spine to travel beyond its normal limits. The muscles and ligaments supporting the spine may then become torn, and the spinal discs may bulge, tear, or rupture. The nerve roots in the neck can get stretched and irritated. While there may only be slight damage to the car, the occupant may nevertheless have suffered extensive damage. Left untreated, the formation of scar tissue can leave the victim with impaired bodily function for life.
The chiropractic approach is to use specific chiropractic adjustments to help return spinal function. After a thorough case history and examination, the doctor will recommend a series of visits to help restore proper motion and position of spinal bones. If caught early enough, inflammation can be reduced, and scar tissue can often be minimized.
If you think you may have suffered whiplash, call our office to make an appointment for a free consultation. Most auto accidents can be treated with NO OUT-OF-POCKET costs in most cases.
